As stated by the ADB, the project is a corporate finance loan of up to $50 million equivalent in CNY to Canvest Environmental Protection Group Company Limited (Canvest), to support the development, construction, and operation of waste-to-energy and at least one and municipal solid waste management subprojects in the PRC under an integrated approach.
The project will comprise of (i) one WTE subproject in Zhongkai Zone, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province (Zhongkai WTE); (ii) one MSW management subproject in Quyang County, Baoding City, Hebei Province (Quyang MSW); and (iii) additional MSW management subproject/s that meet defined environmental, social, development, and financial criteria.

As stated by Bloomberg, Canvest Environmental Protection Group Company Limited provides waste management services. The Company focuses include build, design, and operate waste-to-energy (WTE) plants, as well as acquire WTE projects. Canvest Environmental Protection Group serves customers in Hong Kong and China.
