Project Description

According to the bank document, The ensuing project aims to assist Shaanxi Province of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in developing comprehensive and demonstrative logistics and supply chain management solution to strengthen regional cooperation facilitation and enhance economic development through improved value-addition, innovation, and efficiency of logistics services. The proposed project will demonstrate innovative integrated logistics development in these logistics parks.

The project’s indicative outcome is: value addition, innovation, and efficiency of logistics services in Shaanxi Province improved.

1 The project will be aligned with the following impact: regional cooperation facilitation strengthened and economic development enhanced in Shaanxi Province.

2 The project outputs will be:

(i) cold chain logistics management enhanced,

(ii) rural-urban logistics combined with passenger bus operation demonstrated,

(iii) bulk agricultural commodity distribution streamlined,

(iv) logistics information technology (IT) systems integrated, and

(v) the capacity of small- and medium-sized enterprises strengthened.
