According to the bank website, the proposed project will provide long-term solutions and restore financial viability of power utilities in electricity distribution in Uttar Pradesh. Project outputs are (i) electricity distribution network in 20,000 rural habitations rehabilitated; (ii) institutional capacity of UPPCL on financial management, billing and collection, social inclusivity, and gender sensitivity enhanced; and (iii) awareness on efficient electricity usage in rural households improved.
