Project Description

This project provides technical assistance for a program to modernize railways in Turkmenistan, between Turkmenabat, Mary, Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi. THe program is expected to be undertaken in three phases:

  1. Turkmenabat - Mary
  2. Mary - Ashgabat
  3. Ashgabat - Turkmenbashi

The Asian Development Bank will process Phases 2 and 3 under additional financing.
