The proposed transaction technical assistance (TA) cluster is designed to complement the proposed loan of up to $100,000,000 to Olam International Limited (OIL) and two of its subsidiaries. The loan will support the $223,000,000 capex and expansion plan of OIL and its subsidiaries (Olam) over the 2017-2019 period and invest in Olam's midstream processing assets and permanent working capital for smallholder farmer supply in Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea (PNG), and Viet Nam. The project will promote inclusive and sustainable agricultural value chains with higher local value addition in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The TA subproject will complement the loan by providing capacity building support to 6,500 smallholder coffee farmers that Olam sources from in Timor-Leste.
