According to the Bank’s website, the project will support the Government of Timor-Leste to strengthen the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system by (i) upgrading teaching and learning environments of selected key TVET institutions, (ii) improving the access to industry-aligned training opportunities in priority sectors (agriculture, manufacturing, construction), (iii) enhancing professional development of TVET teachers, (iv) strengthening the foundations of competency-based training by harmonizing standard development and subsequent curriculum development, preparing teaching and learning aids, including textbooks. Outcome is TVET system strengthened and aligned to the evolving labor market needs.
According to the Technical Assistance Cluster Subproject Report, risk categorization does not apply.
The TA cluster subproject financing amount is $400,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF-7).
