The technical assistance (TA) cluster Strengthening the Conduct of Economic Appraisal for Project and Program Investments was approved by the President on 06 December 2018. The TA Cluster has 2 subprojects and is financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), on a grant basis, from its Technical Assistance Special Fund.
According to the Bank’s website, this subproject will support conduct of activities including capacity building on economic analysis (for project and program investments and other related tools) for DMC staffs, preparation and/or updating of DMC economic analysis guidelines, supporting the preparation of economic analysis for complex and innovative projects including climate adaptation and mitigation projects, and in incorporation of nature based solutions through the conduct of economic analysis workshops, conference and clinics, and, finally, producing economic analysis related knowledge products (economic appraisal methodologies and tools) which can guide the operational decisions of ADB and its 46 DMC. The knowledge products produced under the subproject will guide ADB operational decisions and provide timely and relevant insights to DMC's policy makers, staff and ADB operational department.
The TA cluster subproject financing amount is $1,000,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF-7 for $500,000 and TASF-other sources for $500,000).
