This project funds transformation of 10,000 ha into new agricultural land, improvements to irrigation systems for 20,000 ha of land, and protecting 1,500 ha of watershed land. Specifically, the project constructs new small dams and flood irrigation systems, does construction on 300 km of canals, drains, and underground water channels, develops a satellite-based water information system, and increases capacity of local community governance, the Irrigation and Power Department, and the Agriculture and Cooperative Department.
