This project provides financing to support participating financial institutions to provide loans to small businesses. The technical assistance portion of this project will help these institutions strengthen credit underwriting to improve rural outreach, and enhance financial literacy of their small business clients.

Project agreements have been made with HamkorBank, Davr Bank, Ipak Yuli, and UzbekLeasing International Company.
The ADB is providing a loan as well as Technical Assistance.
As stated on the company's LinkedIn profile, Uzbek Leasing International was the first leasing company in Uzbekistan.
The company was created in 1995 with a purpose of attraction of modern technologies in the priority sectors of Uzbekistan economy in the framework of financial leasing, for the purpose of increase of export potential and development of import-substitution production.
As stated on the company's website, Joint-Stock Commercial Bank "Hamkorbank" with the participation of foreign capital, one of the largest banks in the country, has been operating in banking services market of the Republic of Uzbekistan since 1991. The bank has 157 banking service offices located in all regions of the country.
Davr Bank and Ipak Yuli Bank are two commercial banks in Uzbekistan.
