According to bank provided information, the funding objective is to support AVCA in delivering a high-quality industry convening that advances informed dialogue on the development of Africa's private capital markets. Through sponsorship of the VC Summit component, the project supports AVCA's objective of fostering collaboration, learning, and alignment across different segments of the investment ecosystem.
Private capital markets rely on strong convening platforms that facilitate dialogue, learning, and coordination among market participants. Supporting AVCA's 2026 Annual Event helps strengthen such a platform, contributing to a more connected, informed, and resilient private capital ecosystem in Africa.
The African Venture Capital Association (AVCA) is a pan-African industry association representing private equity and venture capital investors operating across the continent. AVCA's mission is to promote and enable private capital investment in Africa by serving as a convening platform, knowledge hub, and advocate for the industry.
AVCA's activities include industry research, policy engagement, training and capacity building, and the organization of flagship convenings, including its Annual Event and VC Summit. Through these activities, AVCA supports collaboration and knowledge exchange among fund managers, institutional investors, policymakers, and ecosystem stakeholders, contributing to the development and professionalization of Africa's private capital markets.
