Project Description

According to bank provided information, the project objective is to Support the project through a Partner Development Contribution to enable Endeavor to design, implement, and monitor a 12-month Cleantech Accelerator, focused on building and strengthening earlier-stage cleantech startups operating in Africa.

The African cleantech sector faces a persistent challenge of not having strong pipeline between Seed and pre-Series A. While capital availability has improved at later stages, there remains a shortage of well-prepared, investment-ready early-stage ventures in energy access and transition sectors. This project aims to address this challenge.

Communities who believe they will be negatively affected by a project funded by the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) may be able to file a complaint with the Independent Complaints Mechanism, which is the joint independent accountability mechanism of the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) and the German Investment Corporation (KfW). A complaint can be filed in writing, by email, post, or online. The complaint can be filed in English or any other language of the complainant. The Independent Complaints Mechanism is comprised of a three-member Independent Expert Panel and it can provide either problem-solving, compliance review or both, in either order.
