According to FMO project page, Omnivore III will focus on early-stage companies with high growth potential, that have a tech (enabled) value proposition. Their target companies should have the potential to generate significant economic returns, as well as the potential to strengthen the economic position of the smallholder farmers in India and/or improve the environmental sustainability of the agricultural sector.
Omnivore is a dedicated Agri Tech fund manager in India. After launching their first fund (as corporate venture fund from Godrej) in 2012 and a second standalone fund in 2018, the team is currently raising their third fund. Omnivore invests in Agri Tech startups that leverage innovation to address the structural challenges facing Indian agriculture. The team has offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru.
E&S Category of the Project is B since Omnivore III will provide early-stage funding to tech-enabled agri companies. Main E&S issues relate to the nascent E&S management systems of early-stage companies, (PS1), decent work conditions (PS2), supply chain (PS2, PS6), resource efficiency (PS 3), sustainable use of natural resources (PS 6) and contextual issues in South Asia. The Fund Manager has a dedicated E&S capacity and an E&S Management System that will be further strengthened in the new Omnivore III.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF FMO
Communities who believe they will be negatively affected by a project funded by the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) may be able to file a complaint with the Independent Complaints Mechanism, which is the joint independent accountability mechanism of the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) and the German Investment Corporation (KfW). A complaint can be filed in writing, by email, post, or online. The complaint can be filed in English or any other language of the complainant. The Independent Complaints Mechanism is comprised of a three-member Independent Expert Panel and it can provide either problem-solving, compliance review or both, in either order. Additional information about this accountability mechanism, including a guide and template for filing a complaint, can be found at: https://www.fmo.nl/independent-complaints-mechanism
