FMO arranges a syndicate of up to USD 80 mln that will be used towards ongoing and planned (maintenance) capex expenditures and to enable the Cooperative's exporting activities. The capital investments will be used for maintenance of ACA's silos, ports, and to develop digital platforms. These investments will improve the efficiency and sustainable transport for grains, resulting in a reduction of truck transport, consequently implying Co2 reduction. The investments in the digital platforms will help farmers use agricultural inputs more efficiently resulting in better quality of soils and improved profitability of farmers. Due to the difficult macroeconomic conditions that Argentina has faced for several years, it is almost impossible for companies to attract long USD term funding. The proposed funding helps ACA to match long term investments with long term funding.
The investment type was not available at the time of the snapshot.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF FMO
Communities who believe they will be negatively affected by a project funded by the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) may be able to file a complaint with the Independent Complaints Mechanism, which is the joint independent accountability mechanism of the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) and the German Investment Corporation (KfW). A complaint can be filed in writing, by email, post, or online. The complaint can be filed in English or any other language of the complainant. The Independent Complaints Mechanism is comprised of a three-member Independent Expert Panel and it can provide either problem-solving, compliance review or both, in either order. Additional information about this accountability mechanism, including a guide and template for filing a complaint, can be found at: https://www.fmo.nl/independent-complaints-mechanism
