According to bank provided information, IFC’s PPP Transaction Advisory Services Unit will support Matarat Holding, in structuring and implementing a PPP transaction for the development of Abha Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The PPP contract will include the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of the airport. In its role as strategic advisor, IFC will work closely with the Client’s appointed consultants to ensure the transaction is bankable and aligned with international best practices. The Project is being tendered through a competitive two-stage process, which started with the RFQ stage and followed by the RFP to select the winning bidder. The expected outcome is the signing of the Project Agreement with the selected private sector sponsor, enabling mobilization of private sector investment and expertise for the delivery and long-term operation of Abha Airport.
