According to the Bank’s website, IFC is partnering with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Livestock of Senegal (MASAE) to assist in digitizing the distribution of agricultural subsidies program in Senegal. This project aims to improve the efficiency and traceability of subsidy delivery and increase the reach of agricultural inputs to smallholder farmers. I. The project will primarily include the provision of technical assistance to the MASAE and relevant third parties in designing and implementing MASAE’s digitization plan for the distribution of agricultural subsidies in key value chains.
By leveraging digital solutions, the project aims to support the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Livestock of Senegal (MASAE)to enhance the efficiency, speed, and transparency of subsidy distribution in Senegal. This project aligns with Senegal’s overall food security agenda by ensuring that quality agricultural inputs do reach a larger number of farmers in key value chains
