According to the Bank’s website, the objective of this project is to support the development of SAMA Money’s products and services in Mali, and internationally. The proposed technical assistance will support a key player in the digital financial services ecosystem in Mali to fulfill its mission to serve more Malians excluded from the traditional financial system and its ambition to expand its outreach both nationally and internationally in several other fragile countries in Africa. The project will boost financial inclusion in rural, semi-urban and urban areas by providing underserved or conflict-affected population and SMEs with a broader range of tailored and affordable financial services, easily accessible from the SAMA Money’s platform.
Estimated Total Budget: $692,000.00 (Project budget includes all project-funded activities)
SAMA Money is a money transfer and mobile payment platform, in which the costumers are able to send and receive money anywhere in Mali.
