Project Description

According to the Bank’s website, the project will help a steel manufacturer in Algeria formulate a credible decarbonization plan and have a clear visibility of the GHG intensity of its operations. It will also enable IFC to better understand impact of EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism as well as potential decarbonization pathways in the steel industry.
