According to the Bank’s website, IFC will partner with a tech B2B leader to assess the viability of a greenfield IoT platform in Albania. Through this engagement the parties will conduct a pre-feasibility study which will cover commercial, financial, technological, legal, E&S, and logistical aspects, to assess the merits of IoT platforms and their bankability, with a view of generating an investment opportunity.
The objective of this engagement is to conduct a pre-feasibility study on IoT platforms focused on process and technical efficiencies to generate value, and assess their merits and bankability. As a result, IFC may decide to collaborate with one or more partners to conduct a full feasibility study on a specific project, and invest and/or mobilize equity and debt. This engagement will also allow IFC to formulate a strategy in the IoT space and a replicable business models in other markets in the region and beyond.
