According to the IFC, the objective of this project is to increase private climate-smart investments in the TTA region. To achieve this, IFC will work with the Regional Investment Center for Tangiers-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (TTA) to improve the enabling environment for climate smart investments in TTA and supporting CRI TTA in its investment promotion efforts for climate-smart or green investments. Specifically, IFC will focus support CRI to improve the enabling environment for climate investments in TTA by (a) working with the region’s stakeholders in improving the management model of key industrial zones through the development of regional development companies ; (b) assisting firms and zone developers in improving their competitiveness with climate smart solutions, and (c) improving the enabling environment for SME climate financing. On investment promotion, IFC will strengthen the capacity of CRI TTA to conduct more effective investment promotion to attract green and sustainable investments and nearshoring in targeted sectors and identified global value chains (GVCs)s, through support provided with the key activities that is expected to result in enhanced investor service delivery resulting in an increase in investor leads, with the ultimate impact of green investment generated by the realization of investments in targeted sectors.
