Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to bank provided information, IFC will assist Gafsa Phosphate Company with the preparation and delivery of its Green Private Sector Participation Program for the phosphate sector. The Project may include a slurry pipeline to transport the phosphate along with a desalination plant to secure water needs for the industrial process. IFC would also support the government in the selection of one or several suitable private partner(s) to implement the Project.
