According to the Bank’s website, of the 18 privately-owned distribution companies (DISCOMs) in India, the project team will focus on DISCOM entities that present the strongest implementation appetite and techno commercial focus to identify potential BESS projects. The project will work with key stakeholders in distinct workstreams (Policy & regulatory framework, RE generation portfolio & demand assessment and a bankable business case for investment) to address the barriers to the adoption of grid- BESS projects.
