According to the Bank’s website, the goal of this project is to support the South Africa National Credit Regulator (NCR) and key stakeholders to strengthen and expand credit information sharing in South Africa by supporting the development of commercial Credit Reporting for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises/businesses by private credit bureaus and support for piloting, testing and promoting commercial Reporting for MSMEs, particularly underserved youth, women, and township enterprises with a view to increasing access to finance for these MSMEs and individuals.
