IFC will provide transaction advisory services to the Government of Jamaica (GoJ) and the National Road Operating and Construction Company (NROCC), through the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation (MEGJC), to structure and implement a competitive tender process to mobilize a private operator that will design, build, finance, and operate three brownfield roads.
EXPECTED DEVELOPMENT IMPACT
The project is expected to mobilize private sector investment to improve, upgrade, operate, and maintain three brownfield roads on the North Coast Corridor of Jamaica aiming to (i) increase the quality and safety of services for the users and (ii) improve links to the major tourist centers of Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, thus facilitating the expansion of the country’s tourism and hospitality sectors.
The investment amount was not available at the moment of the snapshot. The only information available was: "Estimated Total Budget Pending (Project budget includes all project-funded activities)".
