Project Description

According to bank documents, IFC has been invited by the Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources to assist the WUC (jointly, the Client), in structuring and tendering a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) transaction for the rehabilitation of the existing Glen Valley WWTP, the development of a greenfield reclamation plant with indicative capacity of 14.6 Mm3/year (40 MLD), and the operation of both plants.

The scope of work will include:

  1. Phase 1: update the existing detailed technical feasibility study, undertake a legal/regulatory, commercial and financial due diligence and a Environmental & Social scoping study;
  2. Phase 2: assist the Client in managing a transparent, competitive bid process for the selection of the private investor(s).
