According to the bank's website, "the proposed TA will strengthen institutional capacity within the Philippines Department of Health (DOH) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) for planning and managing health infrastructure investments. The TA will support the updating of the Philippines Health Facility Development Plan 2020-2040 (PHFDP) and will develop a detailed Health Infrastructure Investment Masterplan for BARMM. The latter will set out the investments needed to address BARMM's significant health infrastructure gaps, with a focus on the primary health care (PHC) level. The PHFDP and BARMM Masterplan draw upon burden of disease estimates, health facility gap analysis, and health service demand projections, all of which will be supported by the TA. The TA will strengthen the capacity of DOH and BARMM MOH stakeholders on quality infrastructure investment (QII) principles, embedding climate resilience and sustainability, to ensure quality, value for money, and long-term adaptability of future health infrastructure".
