According to bank's website, this proposed Yesil Integrated River Basin and Infrastructure Solutions (Y-IBIS) Project aims to support the Republic of Kazakhstan (the government) to reduce flood risk and strengthen climate resilience in the Yesil River basin in Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions. It will deliver the following outputs: (i) climate-resilient Yesil dam constructed; (ii) livelihood restoration and reservoir-based economic activities supported; and (iii) institutional capacity for integrated water resources management and dam safety strengthened. These outputs will result in the outcome of reduced flood risk and enhanced flood protection in the Yesil River basin.
