According to the project bank disclosure statement, the project is designed to strengthen the implementation of AML/CFT regulatory measures and enhance the ability of ADB's DMCs, their National Agencies, Financial Institutions (FI) and Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBIs) to comply with the standards of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). This will be accomplished via (i) improving legal and regulatory frameworks, (ii) capacity building for regulators, financial intelligence units, investigators, FIs and Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs), (iii) improving supervision, (iv) national and sectoral risk assessments, and (v) development of procedures, guidelines and Integrity Due Diligence (IDD) standards. To maximize impact and avoid duplication, it will be closely coordinated with other programs such as the Integrity Regional Technical Assistance (RETA), the Tax Transparency RETA, and the RETA administered by the Finance Sector Group.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. You can learn more about the Accountability Mechanism and how to file a complaint at: http://www.adb.org/site/accountability-mechanism/main.
