According to the bank's website, "the proposed TA will strengthen social protection operations in Southeast Asia, with a focus on Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, and the Lao PDR. It is aligned with the strategic focus area of resilience and empowerment outlined in ADB's Strategy 2030 Midterm Review and the priorities of the Social Protection Directional Guide 2022-2030. Additionally, the TA reflects the emphasis on human capital development in ADB country participation strategies with participating developing member countries (DMCs). The TA will: (i) support the preparation of high-quality social protection operations; (ii) provide technical, analytical, and capacity building support for effective implementation of ongoing projects; and (iii) develop and disseminate regional knowledge on inclusive, resilient, and integrated social protection. This support will help DMCs design and scale adaptive and shock-responsive social protection programs that are evidence-based, gender-responsive, and nutrition-sensitive, while strengthening digital systems for more effective delivery".

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
