According to the Bank’s website, this project readiness financing (PRF) will support the development of a high-quality mass transit system by preparing a detailed design and providing procurement support.
The ensuing project prepared under PRF will fill the transport needs of Quetta's residents, providing a sustainable and quality service for needs emerging from continued urban growth and the city's importance as the economic, industrial, and administrative center of the Balochistan Province.
Since the proposed activities comprise consulting services only, the activities have not been categorized following ADB's Safeguard Policy Statement (2009).
The financing amount is $3,800,000, which will be financed on a loan basis by ADB’s ordinary capital resources.

If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
