According to the bank's website, "the proposed Workforce Skills Development Project, to be financed by the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR), will help the Government of Timor-Leste align its technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programs with the needs of an evolving labor market. This will enhance workforce productivity, strengthen economic competitiveness, and ultimately reduce poverty, directly supporting the JFPR core objective of poverty reduction through inclusive human capital development. The project will support the government's TVET investment priorities, collaborate with industry to upgrade competency-based standards and curricula in selected occupations, and improve facilities with needed equipment in at least four project-supported TVET institutions, benefiting more than 2,500 students per year".

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
