Project Description

According to bank's website, the proposed technical assistance (TA) will strengthen the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in providing more unique value additions in future ADB projects for the Government of India and the capacity of India's executing and implementing agencies for (i) project preparation with enhanced project design built-in with finance-plus and budget-plus elements and with enhanced project implementation readiness; and (ii) project management of ongoing projects in all aspects of implementation. The TA will support various aspects of project document preparation including assessment of agencies' capacity across different areas and the proposed measures to strengthen them. The TA will also provide capacity-building support in important areas such as project design and value addition, safeguards, procurement, financial management, climate change, gender, and other relevant topics.
