According to the Bank’s website, the proposed Technical Assistance (TA) will support the Government of Bhutan in strengthening its data ecosystem for improved policy decisions and public discourse on critical socioeconomic issues. The TA will design integrated, timely data analytical tools to aggregate and update key economic indicators such as fiscal balances, monetary aggregates, trade flows, and social protection metrics by synthesizing data from multiple government agencies. This TA will also enhance the capacity of relevant agencies in quantitative macroeconomic modeling, scenario analysis, growth projections, and market forecasting. Based on these data systems strengthening activities, the TA will produce high-quality analytical and discussion papers, and policy briefs to disseminate knowledge, provide technical advisory, and strengthen ADB's visibility in Bhutan by organizing impactful events to foster meaningful engagement with key stakeholders.
The TA financing amount is $400,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF-other sources).

If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
