According to the Bank’s website, this technical assistance (TA) will support sustainable, inclusive, and resilient growth in Pakistan by aiding implementation of the Government of Pakistan's new National Economic Transformation Plan (20242029) under the framework of Uraan Pakistan and aligning with strategic priorities of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The TA will focus on enhancing institutional capacity for strategic economic planning; public investment management; and conducting multistakeholder, sectoral problem-solving consultations. It aims to strengthen evidence-based policy formulation, improve the quality and efficiency of public spending under the Public Sector Development Program, and align development outcomes with the national vision outlined in the Uraan Pakistan road map. The TA will also assist in improving the processing and implementation of ADB projects by strengthening project readiness. Enhanced project readiness can reduce start-up delays and shorten the project completion cycle.
According to the Technical Assistance Report, the Risk Categories are:
Environment: Not Applicable
Involuntary Resettlement: Not Applicable
Indigenous Peoples: Not Applicable
The TA financing amount is $300,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF 8).

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
