Project Description

According to bank disclosure statement, this initiative aims to fortify the resilience of farming, herders, fisherfolks, and forester communities against the unpredictable forces of nature. The project seeks to develop tailored national digital solutions to empower farmers with the knowledge and tools necessary to transform the agrifood system and navigate climatic uncertainties by leveraging advanced agroclimatic services, implementing state-of-the-art early warning systems, and fostering the digitalization of the agriculture and natural resources sectors. As the region grapples with the increasing challenges posed by climate change, this collaborative endeavor strives to create a robust international network that spans both East and West Asia and the Pacific, fostering a united front in safeguarding agricultural livelihoods.

The TA will assist ADB in (i) upstream knowledge and program or project conceptualization, (ii) designing project proposals and supporting implementation readiness, and (iii) strengthening the institutional capacity of executing and implementing agencies.
