Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the Bank’s website, the SSTA will support the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation and Baku Metro in (i) reviewing the existing and upcoming detailed design and other documentation, (ii) facilitating institutional changes to strengthen sector governance (iii) strengthening project implementation capacity, and (iv) receiving knowledge on ADB safeguards, procurement and other project requirements.

The SSTA is aligned with the knowledge-sharing priority to improve infrastructure and strengthen human capital (Strategic Pillar 3) as outlined in the ADB country partnership strategy for Azerbaijan, 2025-2029 which aims to improve sustainable urban transport. Further, the TA is aligned with the key area of assistance to the Greater Baku Green Transport Program as outlined in ADB country indicative pipeline for Azerbaijan, 2024-2026.
