The transaction technical assistance (TA) complements a proposed loan of up to $30,000,000 to ETC Group (ETG) for the ETG Resilient Coffee and Cashew Value Chain Project in India and Viet Nam. The loan will finance ETG's permanent working capital to support sustainable coffee and cashew procurement from aggregators and cooperatives, which will ultimately benefit 5,740 smallholder farmers in India and Viet Nam. The project will benefit the coffee and cashew farmers by providing a reliable source of income, sustaining employment, and improving their adaptive capacity to climatic conditions, thereby increasing their resilience.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
