According to the Bank’s website, the technical assistance (TA) aims to strengthen the collection of data on the use of time in Asia and the Pacific, and the data's application in policymaking for inclusive development by (i) advancing a time-use data collection methodology that will contribute to international guidelines and best practices in time-use surveys, (ii) collaborating with national statistical organizations to support data collection in one Asian Development Bank (ADB) developing member country (DMC), (iii) strengthening data literacy and building capacity among stakeholders, and (iv) demonstrating the usefulness of time-use data for policy through rigorous empirical studies based on micro and secondary data from the region.

The TA financing amount is $500,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF 8 and TASF-other sources).
