Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the Bank’s website, the technical assistance (TA) will provide safeguards implementation and capacity building support to ongoing and future sovereign operations within developing member countries (DMCs) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in all its regions, including Central and West Asia, East Asia, Pacific, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The TA will provide support to executing agencies (EAs), implementing agencies (IAs), and regulating agencies (RAs) in building their capacity to meet the safeguards policy requirements of ADB as defined in ADB's Safeguard Policy Statement (SPS) 2009 and the new Environmental and Social Framework (ESF), which will become effective in January 2026.

Early Warning System Project Analysis
For a project with severe or irreversible impacts to local community and natural resources, the Early Warning System Team may conduct a thorough analysis regarding its potential impacts to human and environmental rights.
