Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

Accrding to ADB, the proposed technical assistance (TA) will support the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India (GoI) in developing an enabling system for scaling up implementation of India's climate commitments and priorities, thereby advancing green growth and climate resilience.

Objectives:

1)The TA will also support enhancement of knowledge and capacity development of MoEFCC, sectoral ministries/departments and state-level agencies for formulation of climate strategies and investments.

2)The TA will help facilitate engagement with government agencies at national and state levels on strategic priorities and challenges related to scaling up implementation of climate actions, and will inform ADB pipeline development aligned with national climate commitments and priorities. Such support will contribute to GoI's efforts to mobilize financial resources for green growth and climate resilient development.
