According to the Bank’s website, the regional technical assistance (TA) will support the scoping, definition, preparation and tendering of prospective and mandated projects in Asian Development Bank's developing member countries (DMCs) in the renewable energy, energy storage and power transmission sector. These projects will take the form of public-private partnerships (PPP), and advance private sector participation (PSP), market development and debottlenecking the regulatory, capacity and policy issues in the DMCs. The TA will enable the Office of Markets Development and Public-Private Partnership (OMDP) to provide transaction advisory services (TAS) and to engage technical, legal, financial, and other subject matter experts in support of originating, implementing TAS mandates as needed.

The TA financing amount is $2,000,000, of which $1,500,000 will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF 7) and $500,000 will be financed from TASF-other sources.
