According to the Bank’s website, the regional knowledge and support technical assistance (KSTA) will support the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) in developing a public sector climate-related disclosure standard that suit the specific needs of the developing member countries (DMCs), particularly those in Asia and the Pacific that are highly vulnerable to climate change and natural disasters. By tailoring this standard to the regional context, it enhances the likelihood of acceptance and adoption by DMC governments. This standard will bridge the gap between general financial reports and the crucial information governments need to effectively manage and mitigate the impacts of climate change on their economic and financial stability.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. You can learn more about the Accountability Mechanism and how to file a complaint at: http://www.adb.org/site/accountability-mechanism/main.
