Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the Bank’s website, this TA will address the requirements for implementation of the new Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) and will improve DMC and private sector client understanding and their capacity for implementing the ESF across ADB financed projects. It will support the action areas of the 3-year ESF Rollout Plan on (i) comprehensive capacity-building program and resources for DMCs and clients prepared; (ii) DMC and private sector capacity building plan implemented; and (iii) strategic partnerships developed.

Early Warning System Project Analysis
For a project with severe or irreversible impacts to local community and natural resources, the Early Warning System Team may conduct a thorough analysis regarding its potential impacts to human and environmental rights.

According to the Technical Assistance Report, the Risk Categories are:

The TA financing amount is $1,000,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund ($600,000 from TASF 7 and $400,000 from TASF-other sources).
