Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the Bank’s website, the technical assistance (TA), which will be approved with the proposed Integrated Water Resources Management Project, will help the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology: (i) implement one of the activities of output 2 (para 6), (ii) inform rice farmers about and train them to implement innovative climate mitigative water management technology, and (iii) disseminate this innovative AWD technology to the entire country. The TA project's demonstration activities are expected to reduce emissions by 11,750 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.

The TA financing amount is $1,500,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR) and administered by ADB. The government will provide counterpart support in the form of counterpart staff, office space, access to data, office supplies, and other in-kind contributions.
