According to the Bank’s website, the TA will support selected DMCs to enhance their recovery readiness and resilience to disasters triggered by natural hazards. Increasing disaster risk and frequency in Asia and the Pacific is having a detrimental impact on growth and development outcomes. DMCs require assistance to improve their ability to lead an effective disaster recovery process, given the increasingly complex and often compounding contexts, including the widening gender disparities, in disasters.
According to the Technical Assistance Report, the Risk Categories are:
Environment: Not Applicable
Involuntary Resettlement: Not Applicable
Indigenous Peoples: Not Applicable
The TA financing amount is $2,000,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR) and administered by ADB.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. You can learn more about the Accountability Mechanism and how to file a complaint at: http://www.adb.org/site/accountability-mechanism/main.
