According to the Bank’s website, the TA aims to enhance the design of evidence-based economic policies for fostering high, inclusive, and sustainable growth in SARD DMCs . The proposed TA is designed for economics work and will support (i) analysis of macroeconomic issues; trade, competitiveness, and investment; jobs and skills development; and food security issues; and (ii) selected development impact assessments. The TA will also engage international experts, government officials, the private sector, academia, and other stakeholders through policy dialogues and workshops to disseminate and improve understanding of policy solutions for the inclusive and sustainable economic growth of SARD DMCs. The TA activities will support analytical studies, data analysis, and knowledge-sharing activities aligned with SARD's operational pipeline of 2025-2027 and the five strategic focus areas for accelerated work identified by the Strategy 2030 Midterm Review (MTR), namely, (a) climate action, (b) private sector development, (c) regional cooperation and public goods, (d) digital transformation, and (e) resilience and empowerment.

The TA cluster subproject financing amount is $1,250,000 which will be financed on agrant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF-other sources).
