According to the Bank’s website, the proposed project will support the development of a 25.6 MW Tier-III/Rated 3, LEED Gold certified, green data center in Samut Prakan, Thailand.
This financing will align with the Green Loan Principles and marks ADB's first data center financing, supporting Thailand's green growth and innovation agenda. The project aims to expand green data center capacity in Thailand, demonstrate the potential for green data centers, and support the digital economy while aligning with ADB's climate finance targets.
The project has benefitted from close collaboration between PSOD, SERD, and CCSD (Digital Infrastructure). This collaborative effort underscores ADB's commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable development in the digital infrastructure sector.

According to the Company’s website, Gulf Edge, in partnership with Singtel and AIS, hasinvested in GSA DC, a data center developer in Thailand. This venture aims to meet the growing demand for data management and storage services both locally and globally. GSA DC uses advanced technologies and efficient energy management to adapt to the evolving needs of data processing, offering up to 25 MW capacity in its first phase. The data center also emphasizes sustainability by providing a green power option for customers.
