Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

As stated by the ADB, the overall outcome of the TA cluster is Georgia's transition to a green and integrated economy, and more resilient and inclusive society facilitated. The outputs are (i) government capacity to identify, screen, design and implement climate-resilient and gender-responsive policy programs and investment projects strengthened, and (ii) climate-resilient and gender-responsive policy programs and investments, including NSO and PPP, projects identified and prepared for ADB financing.

The project will have two major expected outputs:

  • Output 1: Government capacity to identify, screen, design and implement operations strengthened. This output will include the delivery of strategic assessments, policy papers, and knowledge sharing events on innovative and integrated solutions to advance gender equality and climate action agendas. While this output is primarily aimed at strengthening the capacity of Government policymakers, consultations will be conducted with academia, private sector, civil society organizations, and development partners to gather and align different perspectives.
  • Output 2: Government and media capacity to develop and disseminate knowledge improved. This output will include the delivery of integrated country operations review meetings with high level officials and private sector representatives to discuss programming, portfolio, and knowledge contributing to the CPS strategic objectives. It will also support dissemination of leading-edge knowledge produced under ADB-funded projects through improved government and media capacity on communications matters. Building capacity of journalists on climate change and effective gender mainstreaming, may also be considered in coordination with other development partners.
