As stated by the ADB, the technical assistance (TA) will strengthen the capacity of the Government of Georgia to realize its vision of becoming a green an inclusive regional gateway. It will also help the Asian Development Bank (ADB) pivot its assistance program toward more climate action and gender mainstreaming. The TA will provide a multisector and integrated approach to capacity development, policy advice, project identification, and support to project preparation and implementation. The TA will share lessons and experiences regionally to spur replication and upscaling of concepts and approaches developed.
The TA incorporates lessons learned from previous ADB assistance to Georgia, such as the importance of providing value-added knowledge and innovative finance to address complex development challenges that Georgia cannot resolve on its own, and the need to further tailor knowledge solutions related to ADB Strategy 2030 priorities to audience needs. The TA cluster will provide much needed support in advancing priority policy reforms and unlocking investment opportunities across sectors and throughout the CPS implementation period. The TA is categorized as EGM following the outcome and outputs of the projects described below.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
