Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the Bank’s website, the technical assistance (TA) will support initiatives to operationalize the regional cooperation and integration (RCI) agenda under the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) Program through continued support to subregional and national institutional mechanisms and to strengthen the SASEC Secretariat. For effective operation of these institutional mechanisms, the TA will also continue to support capacity building and knowledge sharing activities and policy dialogues for the planning and implementation of RCI initiatives of the SASEC partner countries.

Early Warning System Project Analysis
For a project with severe or irreversible impacts to local community and natural resources, the Early Warning System Team may conduct a thorough analysis regarding its potential impacts to human and environmental rights.

The TA financing amount is $1,250,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund ($1,000,000 from TASF 7 and $250,000 from TASF-other sources).
