Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the Bank’s website, this TA will support the three South Pacific DMCs (Nauru, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu) in improving their portfolio performance through targeted capacity development interventions for delivering and managing projects and programs and by supporting the organization of country portfolio reviews.

The financing for the technical assistance (TA) cluster for Enabling Effective and Sustainable Capacity Development Pathways for the Pacific was approved to (i) improve Pacific developing member countries’ (DMC) internal capacity development structures and processes; (ii) provide certified training programs, and supplementation where necessary, to address country-specific capacity development needs; and (iii) undertake periodic portfolio reviews to address country-level systemic capacity issues.

For a project with severe or irreversible impacts to local community and natural resources, the Early Warning System Team may conduct a thorough analysis regarding its potential impacts to human and environmental rights.
